About
the Producer, Director, and Writer, Theodore Melyan Brunelle
Theodore (Ted) Melyan Brunelle was born in Montclair,
New Jersey. At age 10 he moved to Pennsylvania, where he
currently resides with his mother, brother, maternal grandparents,
and his six dogs. From literally infant age - Ted revealed an
uncanny interest, if not obsession with electronics, then audio engineering.
At age 13, and 14, he designed several unique
audio applications. At age 14, Ted thought of an audio engineering
idea (for which he received a patent while still a teenager) -
a patent that makes audio-mixers more user-friendly. This feature
is now on most of the top audio mixers in the world.
Home schooled for the second half of his years, Ted's
education was exceptional, advanced, and uniquely tailored to his
interests. He started a Jingle Company to do commercials and
ads for businesses, while still in High School, and rivaled many
of the best studios with his "sound."
In the fall of 1996, Ted entered Rochester Institute
of Technology in Rochester, New York, a school known for its hands-on film
and video program. Though Ted liked many of the faculty members,
he quickly realized that he was more advanced than the other students,
and had already worked with, or experimented with, most of the techniques,
and skills being taught. Throughout school, Ted's most common nickname was "E equals
MC Squared." Others now call Ted the "new Disney."
When Ted announced that he was doing a family-adventure-mystery, people from surrounding North
Eastern Pennsylvania, and as far away as Massachusetts, drove to the Endless
Mountains to try out for casting. Though Ted's family has several actors,
computer specialists, and professional ASCAP musicians, and songwriters who took
part, much new acting talent was discovered, and Ted was thrilled to give
many newcomers a chance to be seen on screen. Interestingly, those who were
chosen for parts seemed to have a special affinity for the project, and believed that they were "meant
to be" part of the production of "One Stormy Night."
As Ted is a Sr. DeMolay and Mason, the boys from The Mount Laurel DeMolay were
given walk-on parts. Ted is currently working on several
new projects which he classifies as "Top Secret."
